our home away from home for this long weekend is a river lodge just outside of hudson. a winding driveway through a covered bridge over corlear creek leads to this immaculate, hill-top home. built with local stone in the late 1890s, the lodge sits just feet from the hudson river with views of the water in every room. a vintage sunlit country kitchen, two-story rustic library, dining room with exposed brick, and sprawling light-filled common room allows river views from all three sides.
