for those curious about pilates, but hesitant to join a regularly scheduled group class, this workshop is for you.
alongside others who share your curiosity, we will briefly review the history of the method, and then explore the principles of breath, control, centering, concentration, precision, and flow using exercises created by Joseph Pilates and his direct students. the foundational exercises we explore together will then be blended creatively for practitioners to experience flow in a 30-40 minute series of exercises to get you ready to join a group pilates class.
while this workshop is offered on the mat, the principles applied are useful for all pilates apparatus, including the reformer.
